IMPORTANT NEWS ON OUR SALON REFURBISHMENT
We are still waiting to hear from the council about a start date for our building work.
We were hoping we would be commencing in Jan 2009, but it now looks like it will be nearer April 2009.
It will be a major project so we have to be patient and make sure everyone involved is happy about what we intend to do.
As soon as we have a firm start date, we will let you know, as we will be using alternative premises until the building work has been completed.
We have an excellent building company doing the work who will complete the work in fastest time possible.
Until then we will operate as normal.

SUMMER HAIR TRENDS
We welcome in the Summer season.
It's been a pretty long winter and I think we are all looking forward to the sunnier days that lie ahead.
It's a good time to plan your hair for the coming months.
Last spring we were introduced to the 'Pob' by Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes.
This spring we think the trend will move more to it's timeless predecessor the 'Bob'.
It is a cut that has so many versions from short and sleek, to long and choppy.
The fringe is back big time so the 'Bob' will be around for a while.
Kate Moss brought it back into play with her radical new look and it had a positive impact on women who had always thought twice about adding one in to their existing hair-style.
At lot of our clients have taken the plunge and fringed up this year and look all the better for it!
We offer a fringe trim service to our regular customers, as we never recommend they attempt to do it themselves.
We as hairdressers just love a new season as clients feel the need for a new look and it makes our job much more exciting when they come into our salon with some great hair-style ideas for the months ahead.

We really are pleased to announce that we have just added a new range of fantastic hair-care products in our salon.
The new EVO range of Shampoos,Conditioners,Treatments and Styling Products are superb.
We love them because they do everything we want them to do.
We think our clients will really like them as much as our hairdressers do. Colin reckons they are one of the most exciting product ranges he has seen for a long time and just loved the results he achieved when he had a trail range to use on his clients.
He says;
"The response has been fantastic and everyone was asking when were we going to have them available for sale"
"The good news is we have the entire range now!"
They are Australian made and therefore very affordable.
Ask about them when you visit us next. We reckon you will love them as much as we do!
L'OREAL
We are very pleased to announce our new partnership with L'OREAL.
They have just come onboard as one of our major hair colour suppliers.
Our Technical Team are really happy to have them with us as they have an excellent reputation throughout the world and have a sensational selection of hair colours and products which are now available for us to use.
We have been testing the range for the last few months and we could not be happier with the results we are achieving in the salon. We would like to think of this move as an upgrade to a better product and that our clients will benefit from it.
We still offer our CHI range of ammonia free colours as as they have proven so popular with our many clients and we are pleased to announce that our friends at L'OREAL also have a great ammonia free range of colours available.
It's all good!
SALON
Our Salon has now been open for nearly 18 months and over that time our clients have been noticing how much the Salon itself has been taking shape. We are constantly adding new elements to our environment and improving our facilities to make clients and staff feel more comfortable.
They are loving the cafe style Latte's, Cappucinos, Espresso's and the selection of Herbal Teas we have on offer as well as a wee selection of wines!
We had a nice cool salon in the summer and have a warm cosy one for the winter now that we have installed our climate controlled heating and cooling system, which has made all our clients experience in the salon a comfortable one.
We will soon be offering make-up courses by Lucia, for clients who would like to learn how to make themselves look that bit extra special.
Please feel free to let us know if you are interested as class sizes will be limited to 6 people.
We will be offering a nail service in the salon at the start of next year, due to popular demand.

This month our artist is SANDI FAULKNER.
She has a fantastic collection of Japanese Sum-e art adorning our salon walls.
Feel free to pop in anytime and have a look.
Our clients love the work we exhibit and often enquire about who the artist is.
Most of the work is for sale and can be purchased from the artist themselves.
Just speak to Colin if you are interested in obtaining a particular piece.
Let us know if you would like to attend any opening nights we have when a new collection arrives.
We can add you to our mailing list and send you an invite to meet the artists and have a glass of bubbly!

In early 2009 we will begin a major refurbishment of our Salon. We will be turning what we already have into something truly amazing.
We will have more usable space and improved seating arrangements.
Better lighting will be installed throughout the interior and exterior of the building.
We will also have a brand new retail area.
We will endeavour to create a space that will encompass everything that everyone could possibly want in a Hair Salon.
That is our goal for this next coming year.
